India to open 2,000-guest destination wedding resort

In Rajasthan, one of India’s leading wedding destinations, a new property designed for large-scale, multi-day celebrations is preparing to open. Samskara Pushkar combines accommodation across 177 rooms and villas with eight different event venues, targeting high-capacity destination weddings in particular. Located on approximately 13 acres between the Aravalli Mountains, the property is scheduled to begin operations for the 2026-2027 wedding season. The project stands out for bringing accommodation and different stages of a wedding celebration together within a single complex.

The property’s largest outdoor venue, Oasis Lawn, will be able to host events for up to 2,000 guests. Aravalli Lawn has a capacity of 800, while the indoor Casablanca Banquet can accommodate 600 guests. A range of smaller venues will also be available for pre-wedding events and private gatherings. The overall layout has been designed around the operational requirements of large Indian weddings, which often extend over several days and include multiple ceremonies. Welcome dinners, Mehndi, Sangeet, the main wedding ceremony and post-wedding events can all be held in different spaces within the same property, allowing planners to manage the programme more cohesively.

Eight Different Event Venues

Samskara Pushkar’s accommodation inventory includes hotel rooms, studios, villas of different sizes and premium units with private pools. Dividing the event spaces by capacity allows a multi-day wedding programme to be held without leaving the property. The largest venues are intended for high-attendance receptions and entertainment programmes, while smaller spaces can be used for family dinners, planning meetings and pre-wedding rituals.

The property will also allow outside catering providers, giving planners greater flexibility in meeting the cultural and culinary requirements of wedding groups arriving from different regions and countries.

Entire Property Can Be Reserved for a Single Wedding

One of Samskara Pushkar’s notable offerings is the option to reserve the entire property for a single wedding group. Under this model, all 177 rooms as well as the event venues can be dedicated to the same celebration. This allows the wedding party to use the property independently from other hotel guests and manage the venue around its own programme for several days.

Full-property buyouts are becoming increasingly prominent in the high-end destination wedding market. The model offers more than privacy, making it easier to coordinate décor, security, guest movement, transportation and the timing of multiple events from a single operational base.

Pushkar Expands Its Scale in the Wedding Market

Rajasthan has long been one of the centres of India’s luxury wedding market, led by destinations such as Jaipur and Udaipur. Samskara Pushkar is seeking to position Pushkar as an alternative for celebrations requiring greater accommodation and event capacity. The property is located approximately 30 kilometres from Kishangarh Airport and around 145 kilometres from Jaipur Airport, making transportation planning an important operational consideration for weddings involving hundreds of guests.
