Etihad said the flights to Red Sea International Airport will operate year-round, with the journey from Abu Dhabi taking approximately three hours. The airline emphasized that passengers will be able to depart Abu Dhabi in the morning and arrive in the Red Sea destination in the early afternoon, eliminating the need for lengthy ground transfers. Flights will initially operate once a week before increasing to twice weekly as of October 25, 2026.
The Red Sea has become Etihad’s sixth destination in Saudi Arabia, following Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam, Medina and Al Qassim.
