According to a statement from Embratur, Brazil's official tourism agency, Turistrends 2026 was held in Goiânia on August 25 to bring together representatives of the country's tourism sector. Speaking at the event, Embratur President Bruno Reis said that market intelligence, promotion and bringing together the tourism sector are needed to expand the international presence of Brazilian destinations.
Reis said, “Brazil has a variety of destinations and experiences that allow it to appeal to different international travel profiles. For example, in Goiás, there is the Cerrado, Chapada dos Veadeiros, religious tourism and business tourism. Our task is to understand which markets are compatible with this offering, connect trade with international buyers and transform this potential into products ready for foreign markets.”
