SAS named ‘most punctual’ airline

According to a statement from the airline, SAS achieved an on-time performance rate of 87 percent in the “On-Time Performance” report published by aviation analytics company Cirium, making it Europe’s most punctual airline for August 2026. SAS secured the top position in Cirium’s rankings for Europe and globally for the 11th time. SAS said the latest recognition further strengthens its consistent operational performance throughout 2025 and 2026.

Paul Verhagen, Chief Commercial Officer at SAS, said: “Being named Europe’s most punctual airline is highly significant for us, as punctuality is one of the clearest indicators of the value we deliver to our customers. Whether they are traveling for business, connecting to another flight or returning to their families, our customers rely on us to get them to their destinations on time.”
