According to the report covering January-June 2026, Russians made 43.2 million domestic trips, representing a 4.3 percent increase compared with the same period last year. International arrivals also showed positive momentum, with 2.5 million foreign tourists visiting Russia in the first half of the year, up 20.1 percent year on year.
Moscow recorded the highest number of tourist trips among the country’s regions, with 6.4 million. It was followed by Krasnodar Krai with 4.2 million, Moscow Region with 3.3 million, St. Petersburg with 3.3 million, the Republic of Tatarstan with 1.5 million, Sverdlovsk Region with 1.1 million, Tyumen Region with 980,000, Rostov Region with 864,000, and Stavropol Krai with 800,000.
