Peru Travel, the travel agency under Peru’s Ministry of Tourism, said the country continues to strengthen its position on the international stage as one of Latin America’s most attractive destinations for both leisure travel and conventions, conferences, and business meetings.
The agency said this commitment was reaffirmed at FIEXPO Latin America 2026, held June 9-12 in San José, Costa Rica. At the event, the Peruvian delegation showcased a combination of modern infrastructure, connectivity, cultural heritage, and tourism experiences capable of turning any event into an unforgettable experience.
During the event, representatives of Peru’s tourism sector, along with the convention bureaus of Lima and Arequipa, held meetings with event organizers, international associations, and specialized companies from the Americas and Europe.
Peru was also reported to have recorded one of the highest growth rates in the region in hosting international conventions.
