Meet Global MICE Congress to Unlock New Strategic Opportunities for the MICE Industry

The 4th Meet Global MICE Congress (MGMC), scheduled to take place in Moscow on 16–17 December, is set to offer significant business opportunities for MICE professionals. Ahead of the event, which will bring together more than 3,000 delegates from over 40 countries, congress officials emphasized their strong confidence in the dynamism and global competitiveness of the MICE industry. MGMC represents a timely strategic initiative in response to expanding trade volumes and the growing demand for stronger international business cooperation.

Organized by the Moscow City Tourism Committee, Meet Global MICE Congress is regarded as one of the world's most prestigious events dedicated to business tourism and the MICE industry. The congress will be held at the Moscow World Trade Center, one of Russia's leading business venues.

MGMC brings together corporate and association buyers from the BRICS countries and the Global South, MICE and event planners, MICE suppliers, official tourism authorities, and leading industry experts to foster strategic partnerships, facilitate knowledge exchange, and encourage meaningful business collaboration. The congress serves as a powerful platform for MICE professionals to build high-value business networks and seize opportunities in rapidly growing international markets.

Anastasia Popova, First Deputy General Director for Industry and International Cooperation at the Moscow Tourism and Hospitality Development Project Office, invited MICE professionals to Moscow ahead of the congress:

"Every year, MGMC further strengthens its position as an international platform where participants can explore new markets, discuss emerging global trends, and establish strong partnerships for future initiatives. We highly value the participation of our distinguished colleagues and industry professionals. We are proud that last year's MGMC brought together key players in the MICE market and trusted service providers. The congress offers experts a unique opportunity to showcase their capabilities on the global stage and expand their professional networks within the events industry."

B2B Meetings with Global Buyers and Senior Decision-Makers

The congress will feature an extensive exhibition area where more than 150 exhibitors from the BRICS countries and the Global South will conduct targeted B2B meetings with international and local buyers.

The prestigious Hosted Buyers Programme will bring together more than 200 senior decision-makers managing substantial corporate budgets from China, India, Southeast Asia, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Latin America, Africa, and the CIS region. With approximately 70% of attendees holding senior executive positions, the event provides an exceptionally productive environment for turning business meetings into concrete commercial agreements.

MGMC offers destination management companies, hospitality brands, airlines, and other MICE suppliers a direct and effective platform to showcase their services and secure high-value corporate contracts.

From Vision to Impact: The Anatomy of Success in the MICE Industry

This year's main theme is "The Anatomy of Success in MICE: From Ideas and Tools to Tangible Results."

Throughout the congress sessions, participants will explore the complete lifecycle of a business event—from concept development and implementation to final evaluation. The emphasis will not only be on inspiring ideas but also on practical, ready-to-use tools and mechanisms that participants can apply immediately during their own events.

Leading figures from the global MICE industry will present the latest case studies and trends covering key topics including financial sustainability, digital technologies, market expansion, and crisis management.

Muhammed Raim, Sales Director at Divi & Corporate Travel DMC, said: "Participating in MGMC for the first time provided us with stronger partnerships and better business opportunities than any other trade show debut. Moreover, being in Moscow for MGMC offers an excellent opportunity to meet with our existing partners around the main event, maximizing the efficiency and value of the entire business trip."

Takay Savaeri, Operations Director at Elite Luxury DMC, commented: "For us, MGMC is much more than a networking event; it is a valuable platform for building long-term business relationships and discovering new market opportunities. Our primary goal is to strengthen our international partnerships, expand both our inbound and outbound business volumes, and develop new MICE and incentive travel opportunities with reliable partners. We also believe that participating in MGMC on a regular basis helps us stay connected with industry trends and supports the sustainable growth of our business."
