Etihad Airways has decided to operate flights to Gothenburg year-round following strong demand for reservations on flights it had planned to operate between December 2026 and March 2027.

In an announcement on August 12, Etihad Airways said flights from Abu Dhabi to Gothenburg, Sweden, would operate from December 17, 2026, to March 21, 2027. Following the announcement, the flights were opened for reservations and received strong interest.
In response to the high demand, the airline announced on September 2 that it had decided to operate the route year-round. Etihad Airways said the strong demand for reservations came from both directions of the route.
