Corrections Policy

How to report an error in a story published by IMWF Insider, and how we correct and record mistakes.

Reporting an Error

If you believe a story contains a factual error, send us its address (URL), the passage concerned and, if possible, the source of the correct information at [email protected]. Reports are reviewed by the newsroom within two working days.

How Corrections Are Made

  • Factual errors (figures, names, dates, sources) are corrected in the text, and a correction note stating what was changed and when is added at the end.
  • Minor errors that do not change the meaning, such as typos and formatting, are fixed without a note.
  • Substantive errors that affect the core of the story are additionally flagged “Corrected” in the headline or standfirst.
  • Removal is used only when a story cannot be kept online in corrected form; the URL is kept and the reason is explained.

Updates versus Corrections

Developing stories are updated as new information arrives. Updates that add information carry a note stating what was added and when; they are not corrections unless previously published information was wrong.

Right of Reply

People and organizations that are the subject of a story may request a right of reply. Substantive replies are published, at the editor's discretion, as an update to the story or as a separate item. This policy does not limit any right of correction or reply under applicable law.

Legal Notices

Formal legal notices should be addressed to the publisher, International MICE and Wedding Forum (IMWF), as shown on the masthead; contact details are on the Contact page.
