Canada Releases 2025 Tourism Data

Canada’s Ministry of Tourism announced that tourism was one of the country’s fastest-growing sectors in 2025, contributing $140.5 billion to the Canadian economy.

According to the ministry’s 2025 data, the tourism sector became one of the fastest-growing sectors in the country. Its contribution to the Canadian economy increased by 2.8 percent from 2024, reaching $140.5 billion. The growth reflects strong demand for both domestic and international travel.

In 2025, domestic visitors spent $105.6 billion, accounting for 75.2 percent of total tourism spending. International visitors contributed $34.9 billion, representing the remaining 24.8 percent.

The number of trips within Canada that included at least one overnight stay also increased by 1.6 percent, reaching 107.3 million.
