According to a statement from Embratur, 6,451,257 international tourists visited Brazil during the first eight months of 2026, while domestic destinations welcomed 576,000 international tourists in August alone. Embratur emphasized that the increase in tourist arrivals was the result of broader international promotion of Brazilian destinations, partnerships with states, municipalities and the private sector, and data-driven strategic initiatives targeting international markets.
