Brazil’s tourism agency Embratur announced that three major global science and research events will be held in the country in 2028. The Porto de Galinhas region in Pernambuco will host the 12th International Veterinary Congress (ISVC), the 15th Latin American Congress of Small Ruminants and South American Camelids (ALEPRyCS), and the World Library and Information Congress (WLIC).
The agency said the simultaneous hosting of different conventions in the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions/Events) segment demonstrates Brazil’s capacity to host high-level technical meetings. It also noted that these events will contribute to distributing international tourist flows across different regions of the country.
