Association and meetings industry leaders to gather in Panama

According to a statement from ICCA, more than 1,000 business events professionals and representatives from more than 100 international associations will attend the event, which will be held in Panama City from November 8-11, 2026. The event will feature knowledge exchange, panel discussions and networking activities. The event will focus on collaboration, connections across industries, geographies and professional communities, and how these connections can strengthen the global meetings industry. This year’s theme will be “CrossWorlds.”

A Clearer and More Comprehensive Perspective

ICCA CEO Dr. Senthil Gopinath said in a statement regarding the event: “CrossWorlds is about exactly this kind of connection, bringing together communities that may not always come together in the same setting but undoubtedly share a common mission. Having AMCI leadership join us in Panama is a powerful demonstration of how closely interconnected our industries are. Association management companies drive the success of the day-to-day operations of thousands of associations around the world. When leaders of these companies sit at the same table with our members, everyone gains a clearer and more comprehensive perspective on what it takes to deliver world-class international meetings.”

Panama has Become a Natural Meeting Point

Panama’s Minister of Tourism Gloria De Leon said that Panama has become a natural meeting point, stating: “Panama has always been a natural meeting point connecting oceans, cultures, people and ideas. Welcoming AMC Institute leaders to Panama City alongside the ICCA Congress fully reflects who we are as a country: a global hub where connections are made and opportunities are created. When leading international communities choose Panama to meet, exchange ideas and build the future together, they are not only strengthening their own sectors but also reinforcing our position as a world-class destination for meetings and congresses. Panama is ready to embrace the world and bring the world together.”
