AI use on the rise in UK couples' wedding planning

The Bridebook UK Weddings Report 2026 identified AI use in wedding planning as one of the main themes. Based on the views of 7,000 engaged and newlywed couples, the report stated that couples still use certain platforms when planning their weddings, but AI-powered tools are quietly gaining popularity.

The areas where couples received the most help from AI-powered tools were wedding speeches, vows and invitations. Other areas were listed as creating a wedding schedule, venue research, supplier research, seating plans, budget creation and honeymoon destination research.

Couples Are Creating Websites for Their Weddings

The report also stated that 47 percent of couples create websites for their pre-wedding planning. The purposes of creating a website include keeping every detail in one place, easily sharing the wedding venue with guests, communicating easily with guests, sharing wedding-related updates and announcements, and saving time on invitations.

Other Key Factors

The report noted that couples approach suppliers with clearer and more explicit intentions as their wedding dates approach, but various problems arise when suppliers' responses lack detail.

In addition, it was emphasized that contributions from families toward wedding expenses have increased, and that these contributions affect both spending decisions and expectations.

It was also observed that couples are reducing the number of guests to avoid high expenses and, in some cases, choosing off-season dates.

Finally, the report stated that couples are increasingly turning toward more unique celebrations, while traditional weddings are gradually falling out of favor.
